Overview

We are seeking a senior, SVP-level Brand Strategy leader to step into a critical role at a pivotal moment for the business. This individual will fill an immediate gap in strategic leadership and play a central role in shaping, delivering, and scaling best-in-class brand and engagement strategy across our client portfolio.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role for someone who can seamlessly move between big-picture platform thinking and the development of sharp insights, compelling narratives, and client-ready materials. The ideal candidate thrives in both building strategy and building teams—and is motivated to elevate the impact of creative work through deep scientific understanding and bold, disruptive thinking.

This role is hybrid and based in New York City.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end brand and engagement strategy across HCP and DTC audiences
  • Translate complex scientific concepts into clear, compelling, and breakthrough creative platforms
  • Develop foundational brand positioning, messaging frameworks, and go-to-market strategies

Client Impact & Delivery

  • Partner closely with senior clients to deliver high-impact strategic work
  • Build and present strategic narratives, including insights, decks, and omnichannel marketing (OMC) plans
  • Drive both pre-launch and in-market brand strategy engagements

Growth & New Business

  • Play a key role in pitching, winning, and expanding client relationships
  • Contribute to agency growth by identifying opportunities and shaping strategic responses

Team & Department Building

  • Build, scale, and lead a high-performing strategy function
  • Hire, mentor, and develop strategists, ensuring the right talent is delivering the right work
  • Establish strategic standards, frameworks, and ways of working

Hands-On Leadership

  • Flex between strategic leadership and execution based on business needs
  • Roll up sleeves to actively develop insights, build decks, and contribute to the work—not just direct it
  • Operate comfortably in both player and coach modes, especially in high-priority or resource-constrained moments

Core Capabilities

Brand & Engagement Strategy

  • Expertise in developing brand platforms and integrated engagement strategies
  • Experience designing omnichannel ecosystems across digital and non-personal promotion (NPP) channels

Healthcare & Scientific Depth

  • Strong comfort working within high-science categories (e.g., oncology, immunology, rare disease)
  • Ability to synthesize clinical data and translate it into meaningful, differentiated positioning

Insight Development & Storytelling

  • Exceptional ability to generate insights and translate them into compelling narratives and presentations
  • Strong deck-building skills with a sharp point of view

AI-Driven Strategy

  • Fluency in leveraging AI and LLM tools (e.g., Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) for research, synthesis, and strategy development
  • Ability to integrate emerging tools into strategic workflows
